Camille Spencer
B.Sc. (Hons)
Senior Geology Specialist - Geophysics, Independent Associate
Camille joined the Toronto office in 2012 with a wealth of expertise in exploration target generation via the integration of geophysics, image processing, spectral analysis of alteration in outcrop and bore hole core, and geochemical data. Camille has worked on projects in South Africa, South America, and Canada, and was part of the team that discovered the Corriente Copper Belt in Ecuador – a grassroots exploration program that has resulted in the delineation of 23 billion pounds of copper resources. Camille was also an integral part of the team that reinterpreted drilling data from a major mining company which resulted in the 3.3-million-ounce gold discovery at Quimsacocha in Ecuador. Camille lived in Ecuador for 10 years, where she learned to speak Spanish fluently and prior to joining Orix worked for DeBeers, Gencor, BHP Billiton, and Iamgold. Camille holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Geophysics from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.
Camille also has a mean ace on the tennis court.
